Different Applications Require Different Doses of UV:

The UV dose required is a function of the desired effluent quality relative to the incoming water quality and UV Transmittance (UVT).

Following are typical dose levels for common UV purification applications:

Disinfection 30 mJ/cm2 (30,000 µW×sec/cm2)
Ozone Destruction 90 mJ/cm2 (254 nm only)
TOC Reduction 120 mJ/cm2 to 360 mJ/cm2
Urea Reduction >900 mJ/cm2 (10% SP reduction)
Chlorine/Chloramine Removal 100 mJ/cm2 to 900 mJ/cm2

 UV Treatment Chamber Controller

The UVSI Controller Unit is a remote and compact master control. Up to four UVSI water treatment chambers can be managed simultaneously. This versatility makes the installation of redundant and multi-chamber systems simple and cost effective. The CU-4-X is NEMA 4X rated. Our controller is FCC approved and TUV Rheinland certified, meeting the requirements of CE, UL and CSA.

A simple User Interface offers real time data on the performance of each chamber, including run-time hours and real-time dosimetry.
Capabilities include:
    • 4-20 mA signal lines
    • Remote UV Dosage Reading
    • Remote ON/OFF
    • Alarms (Lamp out, UV intensity low)
    • Run-Time Hours
